For more than 30 years, Goodwood has transformed what motoring experiences can be through world-renowned events including Festival of Speed, Revival and Members’ Meeting.
Now, it's America's turn. The centrepiece will be Goodwood's first headline event outside the UK – a landmark occasion that will redefine car culture and motorsport events just as Goodwood has done in Europe.
Members will also have access to a carefully curated programme of events, centred in California and extending across America and internationally.
Designed with Goodwood’s unmistakable attention to detail, each experience will offer rare access to the people, places and stories that shape the motoring world. From memorable journeys to behind-the-scenes moments, these experiences will bring members together through a shared passion for cars, craftsmanship and the spirit of Goodwood.
I've been going to Goodwood for over 20 years now and it just gets bigger and better every time. People are always excited to see the Superbird which Kyle drove the last time we were there – we went up the Goodwood Hill together side-by-side which was a really special moment. Goodwood is an experience and it's great that folks at home will have a chance to discover it for themselves.
Goodwood is incredibly special to me. I remember going to watch my brother Jimmy race there when I was a boy; it's where I tested for Ken Tyrrell and was signed as a professional driver; and I hold the lap record with Jim Clark. So many American enthusiasts, drivers and cars make the journey to Goodwood every year, and now Goodwood is going to America – it's an exciting new chapter with the GRRC of America set to harness that passion!
Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of my all-time favourite events. They bring together some of the coolest cars on the planet, everywhere you look there's something awesome going on – rally, drift, off-road, Formula 1, cars that are over 100 years old – they even have one that spits fire! I love crossing the pond, but it will be great to experience Goodwood on home soil with the Goodwood Road Racing Club of America.
Goodwood has always been a special place for drivers and fans alike – somewhere that truly understands the spirit of motorsport. I’ve had some wonderful experiences here over the years, so to be part of bringing the GRRC to the United States is incredibly exciting. America has an extraordinary passion for cars and racing, and if you’re a true motoring or motorsport enthusiast, this is going to be the club to be part of.
